The Martha Stewart Poncho

When Martha Stewart departed from prison, she was sporting an elegant poncho. Let the furor begin! Since then, requests for the poncho's pattern have skyrocketed, including those to The Daily Knitter. Several yarn companies have already created their version of the popular item, which was originally crocheted by a fellow inmate.

Lion Brand Yarn Company has created a knit version of the pattern and calls it the "Coming Home" Poncho, knit with their Homespun yarn. The pattern can be viewed on their website at Coming Home Poncho.

Bernat has also created a version of the poncho they call Match "Martha's" Poncho using their Galaxy yarn. The pattern can be found on their website at Match Marth's Poncho.

Whether you call it the Coming Home, the Match Martha, or the Prison Poncho (our favorite), it is still a great look and a fun knit. Enjoy!
