Identical Side of a knitted Square Pattern within a Square

February 21st, 2018

Hey Knitters,

This squares in squares stitch is a reversible stitch. However, the wrong side and right side are not identical to each other.  Since this pattern stitch does not curl, it is better used for knitted items such as purses, scarves, throws or Afghans which will  create  great garments.

Knit multiple of 10 stitches plus 2 extra stitches. Work a 4 x 4 inch swatch gauge to practice on before knitting any garment.  A sample swatch gauge could consist of, casting on 22 stitches or more if desired.
