The stitch of the week is the seersucker pattern stitch. This pattern stitch is knitted to give the look of diamonds knitted in diagonals going from the left in one direction and to the right in the other direction.
The knitted pattern has a combination of only knit and purl stitches in certain rows. The seersucker stitch can be knitted on straight or on circular knitting needles.
These stitches and rows are randomly set in the pattern to give the multiple diamonds shape thru out the pattern or in the garment you choose to knit. Try the seersucker stitch items you might want to knit, such as,scarves, hats, gloves or even blankets.
