1 Skein in Gothic 344 - Lion Brand Yarns Homespun (98% acrylic, 2% polyester; 6 oz / 185 yds) YARN A
2 Skeins in Silver 150 - Lion Brand Yarns Festive Fur (80% polyester, 20% metallic polyester; 1.75 oz / 55 yds) YARN B
Circular Knitting Needle - Size US 9, 16"
Straight Knitting Needle -Size US 15

9 sts = 4" with Yarn A & B together on size US 9 needles
Measurements - Hat Lower Circumference: 22" Hat Length: 8 1/2" Scarf Width: 5"

Directions

Hat
With circular knitting needle, cast on 52 stitches working with yarn A and B held together. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker on needle to indicate beginning of round.
Round 1 - 5: Knit round with A and B yarn held together
Round 6 - 13: Knit round with A yarn
Rounds 14 - 18: Knit round with B yarn
Rounds 19 - 28: Knit round with A yarn.
Rounds 29 - 32: Knit round with B yarn.
Rounds 33 - 36: Knit round with A yarn.
Rounds 37 - 38: Knit round with A and B yarn held together
Round 39: *K3, K2tog* repeat around with A and B yarn held together
Round 40: Knit round with A and B yarn held together
Round 41: *K2, K2tog* repeat around with A and B yarn held together
Cut yarn leaving an 8" tail. With the yarn needle, thread the tail through the remaining loops on the needle and pull tightly until the hat top is closed. Thread the leftover yarn tail through the hat to the inside and secure.
Scarf
With straight knitting needles, cast on 10 stitches working with yarn A and B held together.
Rows 1 - 6: Knit row with A and B yarn held together
Rows 7 - 12: Knit row with A yarn
Repeat rows 1- 12 until scarf is desired length. Bind off. Weave in dropped yarn.
