I am more of a knitter but have experimented with basic crochet.

I would like to do more crochet but am always torn between my first love... knitting :)
here is my first crochet project...don`t laugh!!!!!!

I was working on a scarf for my boyfriend who is an avid snowboarder and hunter. He requested it to be orange and black but that seemed too Halloween-ish to me, so I'm crocheting orange thread in with the black yarn.

You're first project looks great! I'm making a baby sweater and cap set from a pattern found in the 2009 Crochet calendar (yellow and orange, very cute), but with different yarns. I could not locate Crystal Palace Bunny Hop in any stores in Pittsburgh PA US.

I wonder if this is a well-known yarn in the UK. I've found the brand in some stores but this particular yarn -- and one color I needed was not even to be found on the Internet.

Keep crocheting!!
