Help My stitches are too tight!!!

Postby haileysmama » Sat Sep 03, 2011 9:10 pm

Ok so I have a problem and Im not quite sure how to fix it.
When I chain ant then go into the crocheting it always ends up being too tight and bowing or too loos and it wrinkles. I have tried to chain loose and also tighter and adjusting my stitches in the same ways but still havent gotten it. Someone please help!!!!!

If your chain stitches are too tight, try using a larger hook just for your chain row. Usually going one or two sizes larger will be enough to make the stitches lie flat and not bow. If your chain stitches are too loose, try using a smaller hook just for your chain row. Usually one or two sizes smaller will tighten up your chain row so it will lie neatly and not wrinkle.

Switch back to the correct size hook when you start working the first row of the pattern.

I hope this helps.
