Gauge - 15 sts = 4" in Stockinette Stitch

Cast On 60 (66) stitches.
Row 1: P row.
Row 2: (RS) K2, * YO, K3, with Left needle lift first stitch of the 3 stitches just knitted over the
last 2, repeat from * to last stitch, K1.
Row 3: P row.
Row 4: K1, * K3, with Left needle lift first stitch of the 3 stitches just knitted over the
last 2, YO, repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
Repeat Rows 1 - 4 until piece measures 5". Begin working in Stockinette stitch until piece measures
11 1/2" (12"). To shape armholes, BO 4 (5) stitches at
the beginning of the next 2 rows. Then decrease 1 stitch at each edge of every RS row 1 (2) times.
Continue until armhole measures 3" (3 1/2").
Next row (RS) Knit 8 (10) stitches and place remaining stitches on holder. Turn and Purl 8 (10)
stitches. Continue working in Stockinette stitch. On 10th and 16th row, decrease 1 stitch at the
neck edge only. Continue working in Stockinette stitch until armhole measures 7 1/2" (8"). Bind off.
Place stitches from holder on needle and attach yarn. Bind-off center
44(46) sts, and knit to the end. 8 (10) stitches should be left on the needle. Continue
working in Stockinette stitch. On 10th and 16th row, decrease 1 stitch at the
neck edge only. Continue working in Stockinette stitch until armhole measures
7 1/2" (8"). Bind off.
Repeat for back of tank. Seam front and back together, adding an edging around the neck lines and armholes
with a crocheted chain stitch.
