6 (7, 8) Skeins in 1 Cream – Jo-Ann Sensations Bellissimo (90% Wool, 7% Nylon, 3% Other Fiber; 1.75 oz / 76.5 yds)

Circular Needle Size US 10.5, 27″

Gauge – 14 sts = 4″

Directions

FRONT:

Cast On 50 (54, 60) stitches. Work in K2P2 ribbing for 6 rows. Change to Stockinette Stitch and work until piece measures 13 (13 1/2, 14)”. Bind off 3 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Decrease 1 stitch at each end every other row 3 (3, 4) times. 38 (42, 46) stitches remain. Work even until piece measures 19 1/2 (20 1/2, 21 1/2)”. Finish with a WS row. To shape the neck, knit both sides at the same time. Knit 12 (13, 14) stitches, BO the next 14(16, 18) stitches, Knit the remaining 12 (13, 14) stitches. Turn work, purl the first set of 14(16, 18) stitches, drop your yarn, attach a new ball of yarn and Purl the other set of 14(16, 18) stitches. Work until piece measures 21 (22, 23)”. Bind off loosely.

BACK:

Cast On 50 (54, 60) stitches. Work in K2P2 ribbing for 6 rows. Change to Stockinette Stitch and work until piece measures 13 (13 1/2, 14)”. Bind off 3 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Sew shoulder and side seams together. Pick up 52 (56, 60) stitches around the neck. Working in the round, purl all rounds until neck measures 6″ or desired length. Bind off loosely.

BELT:

Cast on 4 stitches. Knit all rows until belt is desired length. Bind off loosely.
