Supplies
* 6 Skeins in Daffodil – Knit Picks Wool of the Andes (100% Wool; 50 grams / 110 yds)
* Circular Needles Size US 10.5, 16″
* Stitch Marker
* Yarn Needles
Directions
Working with the yarn tripled, cast on 76 stitches. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker on needle to indicate beginning of round.
Round 1: Knit
Round 2: (K19, M1) 4 times (80sts)
Rounds 3 – 6: Knit
Round 7: (K8, K2tog) 8 times (72sts)
Round 8 – 11: Knit
Round 12: (K7, K2tog) 8 times (64sts)
Round 13- 16: Knit
Round 17: (K6, K2tog) 8 times (56sts)
Round 18 – 21: Knit
Round 22: (K5, K2tog) 8 times (48sts)
Round 23 – 26: Knit
Round 27: (K4, K2tog) 8 times (40sts)
Round 28 – 31: Knit
Round 32: (K3, K2tog) 8 times (32sts)
Round 33 – 36: Knit
Round 37: (K2, K2tog) 8 times (24sts)
Round 38: Knit
Round 39: (K1, K2tog) 8 times (16sts)
K 1 round.
Cut yarn leaving an 8″ tail. With the yarn needle, thread the tail through the remaining loops on the needle and pull tightly until the bottom is closed. Thread the leftover yarn tail through the inside and secure. Felt the basket using your preferred method and shape into flat oval with edge curled under.
